Weight Loss Injections

It has been announced today that Weight Loss Injections are going to be available to access from GP Surgeries.

Our surgery has expressed an interest to be part of this provision but the service is still being finalised and so it is not currently possible to provide these injections yet.

Initially access to Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) via the NHS is for those with a BMI of 40 or over (or 37.5 if from a minority ethnic background) and four out of five of the following conditions:

• Type 2 diabetes
• High blood pressure
• High cholesterol
• Obstructive sleep apnoea
• Heart or vascular disease

If you are eligible there is no need to contact the surgery, we will contact you.
